This year, Give to the Max Day (GTMD) is Thursday, November 21.
RECLAIM has been participating in GTMD for over a decade. The event has helped the organization bring in an average of $20,000 per year, totaling over $145,000 in donations. This year, the goal is $30,000, with the donation page on GiveMN.org opening Friday, November 1. Additionally, The Clara Foundation is matching all GTMD gifts this year to RECLAIM up to $15,000.
RECLAIM will celebrate with a Karaoke To The Max night at Black Hart of St. Paul on Tuesday, November 19 starting at 8:00 p.m. RECLAIM suggests a donation of $20 for attendees. A donation of $75 covers a caregiver coaching session for adults who want to support queer and trans youth in their lives. $200 covers the cost of a client’s individual therapy session.
Give to the Max Day started in 2009 (the same year RECLAIM was founded!) and runs from November 1 to November 21. GiveMN hosts GTMD and partners with organizations throughout the state of Minnesota to “raise money to improve the quality of life in Minnesota and communities around the world” (givemn.org/about). Altogether, it has raised nearly $400 million for 14,000 nonprofits and schools.
Donors can win prizes and additional funds for their chosen organizations through GTMD. When you donate to an organization through their GTMD portal, the organization is automatically put into a pool to win additional funding from The Bush Foundation.
